Meet the Team
James (Jimmy) McCabe started his working career as a motor mechanic and worked in the automotive industry for 8 years before he found himself looking for a new challenge. He then chose to become an electrician working in the Power Supply industry where the attention to detail, safety and quality is paramount.
Since founding Suncoast Energy, Jimmy has teamed up with 2 renowned Electrical and Air Conditioning companies on the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane giving the team a combined experience of over 25 years. With that kind of experience, we are equipped to face any challenge that may be thrown at us!

Growing the Suncoast Energy team
Suncoast Energy is committed to providing expert electrical services across the local Sunshine Coast region. This has seen enquiry continue to increase. We also have ambitious business goals and objectives that will see us expand our services and our presence in the region. This means we need to build the best team of professional electricians possible.
Increased demand has enabled us to grow our team providing an outstanding opportunity for a young apprentice. This is Harry Burke. He is local to the Sunshine Coast, having grown up in Nambour. Harry attended Nambour State College where in addition to completing academic studies, he had the opportunity to get a taste for life as an electrician by completing a Certificate II in Electrotechnology as part of VET training in schools.
Harry joined Suncoast Energy in October 2019 and is doing a great job. He is fast learning the ropes, handling many tasks with confidence and contributes much to the Suncoast Energy business.
